THE REPUBLIC OF ESTONIA

Estonia is the smallest of the three Baltic republics with a surface area of 45,200 square kilometres. The coastline of Estonia is approximately 3,800 kilometres long, with a total of over 1,500 islands. The population is approximately 1.5 million, 64.2 percent of which are Estonians. Estonia's major cities and their approximate populations are: Tallinn (427,100), Tartu (103,400), Narva (76,400) and Kohtla-Järve (69,900).
