OMX Baltic index descriptions
OMX Baltic Benchmark (OMXBB) – PI, GI, CAP
The OMX Baltic Benchmark index consists of the largest and most traded stocks on the OMX’s Baltic Market, representing all sectors. The weight of the constituent stocks is based on the market value adjusted by the free float, which means that only the part of the share capital that is considered available for trading is included in the index. The index is intended to offer a cost effective replication. Thus OMXBB is especially attractive for use in investment products and as a comparative index for investors. The OMXBB is revised twice a year, on January 1 and July 1, to ensure that it offers high investability and low transaction costs. The index is available as both PI and GI and also as a weight capped version called OMXBBCAP calculated as PI and GI. The OMXBB and OMXBBCAP are calculated in Euro. The base date for OMXBB and OMXBBCAP indexes is December 31, 1999, with a base value of 100. The index values are disseminated with 60 seconds interval.
